The tour to Estancia 25 de Mayo offers the perfect opportunity to get to know the daily life, routine and traditions of an authentic ranch in Patagonia. You will begin your half day Patagonian ranch experience in the evening when you are collected from your hotel in El Calafate. You’ll arrive at the tranquil location of Estancia 25 de Mayo after being driven half an hour into the peaceful Patagonian countryside and welcomed to the ranch with Mate (traditional herbal drink) and a pastry. The evening tour continues with a short walk through the ranch estate to reach a stunning viewpoint at Arroyo where it is possible to taste exceptional Patagonian wines.
Once returning you will have the chance to see buildings of the ranch as well as a demonstration of sheep herding by real Patagonian Gauchos. The 25 de Mayo Estancia tour continues to the “El Quincho” restaurant where you can fill your stomach with Argentinean exquisites such as Empanadas, ‘Asado’ (Argentinean BBQ) and fresh salads from the organic garden, all followed by a luscious dessert of flan with Dulce de Leche (caramelized milk) and tea or coffee. Before being transported back to El Calafate, a traditional Folk show of local artists will close this magical Estancia experience by performing authentic Argentinean dance routines.
