Description
Arelauquen Refuge, located on a natural viewpoint at 1300 mts of height on the southern summit of Cerro Otto, is the starting point for a unique adventure ride in Bariloche. The excursion to the refuge provides a journey that combines an ascent in 4x4 vans and then a journey on snowmobiles.
The first stretch is covered in 4x4 vans from the Club House del Golf. There you will be welcomed with cheese and cold cuts board and a welcome drink at the Club House cafeteria. After half an hour, you will be ready for the second stage of the tour: getting on the snowmobile is to start beating what will be a magical night. To start the motorbike trip to Arelauquen Refuge, it is recommended to bring snow clothes, scarf, gloves, wool hats, socks and/or spare shoes. On each motorcycle, two people will travel (maximum quota of 16) that will begin to ascend between curves and against curves by the deep forest of lengas covered with snow and under a mantle of stars.
After feeling the adrenaline of the ascent you will find the tranquility and warmth of Arelauquen Refuge. Under the light of the candles and in front of the heat of the chimney you will be able to relax and contemplate an incomparable view. The wooden deck, covered with snow, will offer an incredible panoramic view of lakes Nahuel Huapi, Gutiérrez and Moreno.
Then it will be time for dinner with delicious cheese fondue with different garnishes of vegetables, fruits, and preserves and you will be able to savor, as dessert, chocolate fondue with fruits. In the background, you will perceive the imposing Patagonian landscape. Refugio Arelauquen is, in short, much more than a unique mountain restaurant. It is quite an adventure in itself to reach it. Notes
- Children's policy: Activity not suitable for children under 5 years old. Children from 6 to 11 years old pay a special rate. Children over 12 years of age pay the full fare.
- Transfer Policy: If your hotel is located outside of the established circuit, the service may incur an additional cost.
- Dates alert: The winter season officially extends from July 1 to August 18.
- Dress code and recommendations: We recommend that you bring snow clothes, scarves, gloves, wool hats, socks and/or spare shoes.
- Guide Policy: If you request a guide in another language, another cost will be required. Please contact our Customer Service team.
- Tour Policy: The maximum capacity is 16 people as there are only 8 motorcycles. If you are going alone or it is an odd group, you will have to share a motorcycle with another passenger.
- Solo traveler: We do not reserve motorcycles for only one person. Unless you pay for the 2 places.
- Weather Alert: This tour may undergo modifications due to weather conditions as it depends on them.
- Food restriction: There are options for passengers who have food restrictions or preferences (vegetarian, vegan and celiac). Please contact our Customer Service team to request a special menu.
