Itinerary El Calafate and Ushuaia Travel Plan:

Day 1. Arrival in El Calafate

Upon arrival at El Calafate airport, our driver will be waiting for you to take you to the selected hotel.

Day 2. Visit to the Perito Moreno Glacier.

After breakfast, you will have the opportunity to enjoy an excursion to the Perito Moreno Glacier in Los Glaciares National Park, traveling the 50 miles (80 kilometers) from El Calafate to the Glacier, which is located on the southwest corner of Lake Argentino, the largest lake in Patagonia, and the entrance to Los Glaciares National Park.

The most famous tourist attraction of the National Park is the Perito Moreno Glacier, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 19 miles (30 km) long, 3 miles (5 km) wide and 197 feet (60 m) high, even with the company of a bilingual guide, you will walk along a 1,300 feet (400 meters) trail that will take you to an excellent viewpoint near the glacier.

Upon arrival at the lookout point, the guide will give you free time to take pictures and tour this magnificent place at your leisure and have lunch in the National Park or you can bring your own lunch. On the way back, you will be taken back to your hotel.

Day 3. Patagonia at your feet - Free day

Free day to rest, or you can request any additional activity with our travel advisors. Among some optional excursions to choose from: Ice Rivers Navigation or Visit to Estancia Cristina.

Day 4. Flight from El Calafate to Ushuaia:

After a delicious breakfast, you will be picked up at your hotel and transferred to El Calafate airport for your flight to Ushuaia. Upon arrival, you will be met and taken to your hotel where you will have the rest of the day free to visit the small city of Ushuaia, known as the southernmost city in the world and the capital of the Province of Tierra del Fuego.

Day 5. Tierra del Fuego National Park and "End of the World" Train:

After breakfast at your hotel, we will take you to the National Park located 11 kilometers from Ushuaia to observe the beautiful lakes, lagoons and rivers, as well as the Beagle Channel.

From Maipu Avenue, we will drive southwest along National Route 3 and pass by the slope of Mount Susana, witness of the work of the prisoners of the old prison, where now the Fuegian Train is located.

We will pass through the valley towards the detour that takes us to Ensenada Bay, contemplating the Redonda and Estorbo Islands and the other coast of the Beagle Channel, as well as the white mountains of the Sampaio chain (Chile).

On the way back along National Route 3 with the Fuegian forest with its flora close to the road, we will head towards Lake Roca to hike along the lake shore and the Lapataia River, which originates in the lake. From this point we can see the natural border of Cerro Condor with Chile.

Further on we will go along National Route 3 ending at Lapataia Bay, where we will see the Verde and Negra Lagoons, imposing peat bogs in formation. Finally we will pass by the beaver dams, whose path will lead us to Lapataia Bay.

Day 6. Free day in Ushuaia:

Free day for you to decide what activity you want to do or if you want to rest. We suggest that you take the tour to Fagnano and Escondido Lakes by 4x4.

Day 7. Back to your initial destination:

After breakfast, you will be picked up to go to Ushuaia airport to take your flight back to your origin.
