The Esquina Carlos Gardel is considered the temple of tango in Buenos Aires and is named after the best known tango composer and singer, Carlos Gardel.
This place used to be a restaurant called "Chanta Cuarto" where the "zorzal criollo" and his friends used to meet to write tango lyrics and sing.
Today, his show lives on through the years in La Galería General Güemes, a wonderful space that became Tango Carlos Gardel, named in homage to the undisputed icon of Tango.
