Day 1 : Welcome to Salta

Our guide will be waiting for you at the airport in Salta, to welcome you to one of the most picturesque tourist destinations in Argentina, we will take you to your hotel in Salta, the capital city. The rest of the day is free for you to discover the city.

Day 2 : Day in Cafayate

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by your private guide to start the tour from the city of Salta to the south, crossing the Lerma Valley and its historical towns. We will arrive at the Quebrada de las Conchas, where the erosion of the wind and water sculpted curious shapes in the rocks. Here we will find the famous Amphitheater, La Garganta del Diablo, El Sapo, Los Castillos, among others.

Arriving in Cafayate, we will visit some wineries, famous for their production of Torrontés, with special characteristics due to the particularities of the climate and the land.

We will have lunch to return to Salta through the Quebrada de las Conchas and the Lerma Valley again, but in a whole new light!

We'll take you back to your hotel and you'll have the night free to explore the city.

Day 3 and 4: Humahuaca and Iruya Gorges - 2-day tour

Early in the morning, you will be picked up by your private guide to start the 2-day excursion to Iruya. It starts with the arrival to the small town of Purmamarca to observe the Cerro de los Siete Colores, the Church and the Plaza del Mercado de Artesanías.

We’ll continue to the town of Tilcara where we will visit the Pucará and the Archaeological Museum. Then we will discover Humahuaca, passing through the Tropic of Capricorn, where you can observe the colors of the hill called the Pollera la Colla.

On the way, you will visit the Church of Uquía, where you will see the paintings of the Arcabuceros Angels (an important vestige of the Cuzco school).

Passing through the village of Iturbe and the Abra del Condor (3900 m), you will come across the mouth of a small stream where this village of Iruya, of Hispanic origin, is located.

You will spend the night in this attractive village and the next day you will start your return to Salta. On the way, we will visit the city of San Salvador de Jujuy, and then return to Salta during the afternoon.

Day 5 : See you soon in Salta

Depending on your flight schedule, we will take you to the airport, just in time to catch your flight and say goodbye to the north of Argentina.
