O tour de mini-trilha ao Perito Moreno começa quando você é buscado em seu hotel no centro de El Calafate e levado até o Porto Bajo de las Sombras, onde vai embarcar em um catamarã que vai levá-lo em uma excursão pela Patagônia navegando em todo o ramo sul do Lago Argentino para avistar a enorme parede sul do Glaciar Perito Moreno. Após 20 minutos, o barco irá atracar para que o passeio continue por uma floresta de árvores típicas da Patagônia, enquanto seu guia fornece uma explicação detalhada da formação glacial e dos movimentos do Perito Moreno que você poderá ver de perto. Na praia do Lago Argentino, começa a preparação para a trilha de fato e você será informado sobre como colocar grampos em suas botas para ter uma melhor tração no gelo. As mini-trilhas do Perito Moreno passam por pontos importantes e de beleza natural incrível como: cachoeiras formadas pelo derretimento do gelo, um campo de seracs (blocos de gelo fragmentados e pontiagudos), rachaduras profundas e lagos. Depois de aproximadamente duas horas de trekking no gelo do Perito Moreno, o grupo retornará ao refúgio para almoçar e terminará este dia emocionante com uma hora livre para explorar as passarelas em frente ao Glaciar Perito Moreno.

Amazing tour! If you only do one tour to Perito Moreno, make it this one. Includes time on the viewing decks (2 hours),, a boat trip and the highlight, the trek on the glacier. Very well organized, great guides. Didn´t have any problems with the guides in English - the same info in both English and Spanish, and an English-only group on the glacier. Highlight of my travels!

This is a great experience. Walking on the glacier and experiencing it. The guides to the glaciers were very friendly and helpful. At then end of the trekking you are treated to a small snack and drink (Glacier water or liquor),. It is a must to experience this.
The only comment and warning I have is that for the non spanish speaking tourist. Our bus tour guide from El Calafate to the Glacier would be speaking mostly in spanish the entire tour and when it comes to translating it to english he would only say a few words or sentences),. So you know that the spanish tourist got more information than the non-speaking spanish tourist. This happened all the time during the bus tour.
This happened again when we were handed over to the tour guides for the mini-trekking. At first they divided the group to the english speaking group and the spanish speaking group. The trekking went well until they decided there were too many people on the spanish speaking group and some of them were asked to join the english speaking group. Then we were at the same situation as we were before, a lot of information spoken in spanish and some words or sentences in english.
We took 2 tours: mini-trekking and perito moreno glacier tour, we had the sam experience on the limited information shared to the english speaking tourists.
Other than the tour guides limitations on sharing informations in english, the sites and experience is really wonderful.
