Glaciers Gourmet Navigation in El Calafate: Itinerary

The navigation takes place aboard the cruise ship Maria Turquesa, which has a main salon with a capacity for 180 people plus a specially designed space for children. It also has 4 outdoor decks and 1 premium lounge on the upper level with a maximum capacity for 16 people.

The excursion starts early in the morning when you will be picked up at your hotel (optional) at around 7:00 am, to take you to Paraje Punta Bandera, where at 08:30 am you will embark at La Soledad Private Port. There we will begin the navigation towards the North Channel of Lake Argentino where we will visit the Seco Glacier, Heim Glacier, and Spegazzini Glacier. The navigation allows an impressive approach to this glacier whose main feature is the great height of its front, which reaches 135 meters, being the highest in the National Park. Then we will disembark at the Puesto de Las Vacas for a 40-minute walk, coordinated by the guide.

Then we will navigate until the succession of icebergs of the most varied colors and shapes announces the proximity of the Upsala glacier that covers an entire valley with an approximate extension of 765 km2 and a length of 53 km. While enjoying a panoramic view of the glacier and the magnitude of the landscape, lunch is served on board. In the afternoon, the navigation continues through the Canal de Los Témpanos until reaching the north wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier, which is constantly advancing and whose ruptures are an incomparable natural spectacle. Afterward, we return to La Soledad port at 6:00 p.m. to finally return to the town of El Calafate.
